Meet the team

Photo of Sarah

Sarah

Sarah is a social introvert; she can be shy and reserved but her heart’s desire is that people flourish as they see themselves as God sees them – loved, precious, valued, unique, with purpose and significance in his world.

Sarah is married to Tim and has three children.  She has been a full-time working mother since 2008 when she was ordained in the church of England.  Having led churches in Walthamstow, the New Forest, and Braintree, she seeks to pioneer a new church that looks different, and works for people of the 21st century living in Colchester.

Tim

Tim is a project-based kind of guy, who bounces around with much enthusiasm, and likes to keep busy baking, running, making things, playing with technology and being creative.  His heart’s desire is for community to identify God as it’s light-source and gather round Him in a harmonious and generous life-style, so that we would all be kind and hospitable towards one another, and have fun together.

Married to Sarah, as a “vicar’s wife”, he has spent many years as a stay-at-home dad to three boys, but is also an eternal student who has studied psychology, counselling theory and practice, specialist courses supporting children with SEN and specifically autism and ADHD.  He is a qualified patisserie chef, and works as a barista. Whatever will he get up to next????

Joel

Joel, aka Harry Potter, is also a social introvert who takes after his mother.

He is an academic guy with natural leadership skills, and attends Youth Synod in order to help the Church of England learn how to be relevant to younger generations. As well as being a Liverpool FC fan, his real passion is gaming.

David

David, is a raving extrovert, and just loves being with people whatever the occasion.

He is imaginative and playful, full of fun and ideas and loves to be at the heart of whatever is going on.

He is also sensitive, loving and has the tricky role of being the middle brother.

Levi

Levi, the youngest, is extremely loving and after a challenging start in life, in which he was in and out of hospital is now fully recovered and thriving.

He has no problem in asking for what he wants and normally manages to convince his brothers too.

He was on a restricted diet for a while and has decided that he needs to make up for it since, with a constant mantra of ‘what can I have as a snack!’

The whole family enjoy gathering as part of a larger community and sharing who they are with others whenever they can.
